About Liverpool & Beyond
We're an independent guide to Liverpool, and a free weekly email about what's on in and around the city.
What we do
We've been writing about Liverpool since 2018, and we've recently given the site a complete overhaul. These days it does two jobs.
- The weekly email. Every week we pick out the best events happening in and around the city and send them straight to your inbox. It's free, and you can unsubscribe in a click.
- The guides. Useful local information, like when the bins change over Christmas, which bin something goes in, or what's on in the city.
The aim is simple. If you want to know something about living in Liverpool, you should be able to find the answer here quickly.
How we check things
In our newer guides, we try to make sure every fact, date and price comes from the people who run the thing, whether that's the council, the venue or the organiser. We link to the source so you can check it yourself, and the guide shows the date it was last checked. We're working through our older guides to bring them up to the same standard.
When something important changes, we update the page and add a note at the bottom saying what changed. We never just move the date forward to make a page look fresh. Our editorial policy has the full detail, including how and when we use AI tools.
Who's behind it
Liverpool & Beyond is independent. We're not part of Liverpool City Council, a tourism body or any of the venues we write about. We publish under the Liverpool & Beyond name rather than individual bylines.
Can you rely on our guides?
We do our best to get everything right, but dates, times and prices change all the time, often at short notice. We can't accept responsibility for information that turns out to be wrong, so please check with the venue, organiser or council before you set off.
